In breaking news, PayPal (a company owned by eBay) announced that it will no longer provide electronic payment services to Wikileaks, which is now being accused of espionage by some in the United States Congress.

Catalog No. 9785, Issued 1977-79 (Made in England)

This vehicle is similar to the one in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

From research on Wiki.com I learned that this vehicle was not designed and built until 1940.  Since Last Crusade is set in 1938, they would not have yet existed!  The website also states that the Kübelwagen that collides with the tank was a mockup, "built on a Volkswagen Beetle chassis, built especially to be blown up/crushed".

German BMW Patrol Motorcycle with Sidecar and 2 Soldiers
(Also known as "German Army BMW Combination")

Made in England, Issued 1973-1982

Overall length is approximately 3".  Made from diecast metal with plastic figures. Item is in excellent condition - near mint!  Motorcycle is a possibly the BMW R-75 or R-12.  Note the frame running along the outside of the fuel tank.

Figures are still on card, but show some minor shelf wear.  There are some slight nicks on the paint. Glue is visible on the gunner's right shoulder.  The ammunition (9 BB-size pellets) are sealed below tape in the base behind the gun.  Gun has a spring and lever so kids could load and "fire" the ammunition.  Right side of card has old price tag.  Available now on eBay!

Hollywood Props For Sale: Own a Piece of History!

Want to buy a retired Hollywood prop?  There are a few businesses which sell to the general public. A major film production can create thousands of props, ranging in size from a small knick-knack to a full-size replica of an F-16 jet fighter.  After production has finished, many film companies will quickly dispose of most of the props.  This is an excellent opportunity for collectors to get their hands on some "hero" items!

The Feynman Lectures on Physics, Volume III

This classic book is a collection some of the Caltech freshman and sophomore physics lectures given by Richard P. Feynman, the Richard Chace Tolman Professor of Theoretical Physics at the California Institute of Technology.  It is co-authored by Robert B. Leighton, CIT, and Matthew Sands (Stanford).  Originally published in 1965, this edition is the third printing from July, 1966.  It is a large format paperback in very good condition.  "Feynman (May 11, 1918 – February 15, 1988) was an American physicist known for his work in the path integral formulation of quantum mechanics the theory of quantum electrodynamics and the physics of the superfluidity of supercooled liquid helium, as well as in particle physics (he proposed the parton model). For his contributions to the development of quantum electrodynamics, Feynman, jointly with Julian Schwinger and Sin-Itiro Tomonaga, received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965."  In addition, he "assisted in the development of the atomic bomb and was a member of the panel that investigated the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster."  (Source: Wikipedia)

Britains #146A RASC Wagon with Headless Rider

I had to do a bit research to identify this item and I believe it is Britains Set #146A RASC Royal Army Service Corps Wagon (Khaki Service Dress).   By comparing this item to the photographs from other auctions, I believe this is the 1920 version, not the 1940 version.  The position of the horses appears to be switched, perhaps in a repair done years ago by a previous owner.  Mine is missing the two "orderlies" who were riding on the also missing cart seat.  There was also a Set #145A RAMC Ambulance which appears to have been made from similar cast parts.
